ALNUR QUEST
Tasks and points.
Choose a task. Finish it. Have the right adult check it.
- Scoring period
- Oct 28 - Nov 18
- Daily maximum
- 6 points
- Qualification
- 30 points
Before you start
- Agree on the job or goal first. Ask a Quest organizer who can check it. Your own claim or a friend’s signature is not enough.
- Finish the whole task. An adult must see the work or check the result. Parents can check Home Base and learning goals they can judge correctly.
- Get a record. An approved volunteer records the date, your name, task name, adult who checked it and a short proof note in the private log. For Home Base, direct confirmation from your registered parent is enough. The board shows the stars and points you earned.
- One job earns one award. Separate work can earn more points, up to 6 a day.
Blue = 1 pointSilver = 2 pointsGold = 3 points
The online board shows stars and points. Names follow recorded online permission: full name, first name and last initial, or a participant number. Task details, dates and adult notes stay private. The masjid poster has names and a box for each scoring day. Several stars can go in one daily box. The private digital log keeps the task details.

Faith & learning
Prayer Peaks1 / 2 / 3 points
Pray in congregation at the masjid. Earn 1 point per different prayer, up to 3 a day.
What to do
- Join a congregational prayer at the masjid.
- An approved adult must see you there. They record the prayer and date.
- The daily prayer total is 1, 2 or 3 points. Do not add the tiers together.
Who checks it and what proof is needed
An approved adult must see each prayer. A friend’s word, your message or a building photo is not proof.
This counts
Dhuhr and Maghrib, both seen by approved adults: 2 points that day.
This does not count
Three prayers earn 3 points, not 1 + 2 + 3 = 6. A fourth adds no point.
How often: Up to 3 prayer points a day. All tasks together: up to 6 a day.

What to do
- Ask an organizer if you are unsure the class counts.

This does not count
Only the last few minutes, sitting nearby or saying “I learned a lot” does not count.
How often: Each separate approved full session can earn 2 points after its takeaway is checked. Name the session so it is not counted twice. All tasks share the 6-point daily limit.

Agree on a new goal. Then show that you learned it.
What to do
- Before starting, an approved teacher checks what you know and sets a realistic new goal that is worth three points.
- Practice a new du’a, short passage or lesson you can explain.
- Return and recite, explain or show the result correctly.
Who checks it and what proof is needed
The adult records the starting goal and checks the result. Your registered parent or guardian may check it only if they can judge it correctly. Otherwise, use a teacher.
This counts
Learn an agreed du’a you did not know. Recite it correctly to the adult who set it: 3 points.
This does not count
Old knowledge, practice time alone or saying “I learned at home” does not count. Show the result.
How often: Once per Monday–Sunday week, with a new agreed goal. The short first and last weeks count too.
Link to this taskReminder Ridge3 points
Prepare and give an approved 2–3 minute reminder. Show you understand it.
What to do
- Agree on a topic and speaking time with an organizer before preparing.
- An approved adult checks the content and quotations before you speak.
- Give the reminder. Answer a simple question about it.
Who checks it and what proof is needed
The approved adult checks your preparation, delivery and understanding.
This counts
An adult reviews your reminder about gratitude. You give it at the agreed time: 3 points.
This does not count
An unchecked script, unassigned time or repeated reminder does not count. The same preparation cannot also earn Learning Lair points.
How often: Once per Monday–Sunday week, with new content or a new topic. Arrange turns so other boys can speak.
Link to this taskAdhan Alley2 points
Give the real adhan at an approved time.
What to do

- Prepare with adult help if needed.
- Give the adhan when allowed. The adult checks it.
Who checks it and what proof is needed
An approved adult assigns the time and sees you give the adhan.
This counts
The adult assigns Maghrib’s adhan and sees you give it: 2 points.
This does not count
Home practice, offering when someone else is assigned or racing to the microphone does not count.
How often: Once a day. Turns depend on available times and must be shared fairly.

Finish your food-service shift, including agreed setup and cleanup: 2 points total.
This does not count
One plate, hanging around or unfinished work does not count. Setup, serving and cleanup in one shift earn one award.
How often: Once a day. Fewer helpers do not turn a 2-point job into a 3-point project.
Link to this taskMajor Missions3 points
Finish your share of a large service project.
What to do
- Before starting, check that organizers announced it as a 3-point project.
- Agree on your own share, even in a group.

The approved supervising adult checks the announced project and your finished share.
This counts

This does not count
A small routine job, someone else’s already-credited work or calling your job a “major project” afterward does not count.
How often: Once a day, only when an announced project exists. The same work cannot earn another service or fundraiser award.

- Make it, or finish your agreed share of group work.
- Show the result and explain your work.
Who checks it and what proof is needed

This counts
Make needed shelf labels. Place them as agreed and explain your work: 2 points.
This does not count
An unneeded poster, copied file claimed as yours or repeated project does not count. Creating and improving are one task, not two awards.
How often: One approved new project a day. A project taking several days earns one award when finished, not each day.
Link to this taskWelcome Crew2 points
Finish a full assigned welcome shift.
What to do
- Agree on a needed role and shift with the supervising adult. For example, greet families and show them the right room.
- Do the whole role respectfully.

Finish your full assigned helper shift: 1 point.
This does not count
Donating, buying, raising more money, unproved sales or a brief visit do not earn points.
How often: Once a day, at an approved fundraiser. One shift earns one award, even with several jobs. The same work cannot also earn a service award. Major project work must be agreed separately before starting.
Link to this taskBring a Brother1 point
Bring a genuinely new boy into the Quest. Earn 1 checked point per signup, up to 3 total.
What to do
- You must already be registered. Invite an unregistered boy ages 13–17.
- His parent or guardian completes or confirms a real signup. A link click, promise or extra form for the same boy is not enough.
- The new family tells an organizer directly who referred him. The signup form has no referral box.
- The organizer checks the active signup and records one referrer before awarding a point.
Who checks it and what proof is needed
The new family names the referrer. The organizer checks the guardian-confirmed signup and duplicates. You cannot check your own claim. The private log keeps both signup references, signup and confirmation dates, verifier and point. It is not shown on the public board or website.
This counts
You invite a new boy after registering yourself. His parent confirms signup and names you. The organizer checks he is new and no one else got credit: 1 point.
This does not count
Self-referrals, duplicate or fake signups, existing participants and only sending a link do not count. One new boy names one referrer. Organizers settle disputes before awarding points.
How often: Up to 3 Bring a Brother points for the whole challenge, not per day or week. New referrals must be October 26–November 18. October 26–27 referrals count on October 28. Later referrals use the new signup date. You must already be registered. Bring a Brother counts toward the 6-point daily cap and 30-point target. Extra points do not carry forward.

Home Base1 point
Finish a useful family job assigned and checked by your registered parent or guardian.
What to do
- Agree on one whole, useful job with your parent or guardian.
- Finish it. Examples: meal cleanup; folding and putting away a laundry load; helping cook a dish and cleaning up afterward.
- Your parent directly tells a Quest volunteer what you completed and on which date. A printed form or signature is not required.
Who checks it and what proof is needed
Your registered parent or guardian sees the work or checks the result, then confirms it directly to a Quest volunteer. The volunteer records the specific job, completion date, parent who checked it and how they confirmed it. A signed note is also welcome. Your own claim alone does not count.
This counts
Fold and put away the whole assigned laundry load. Your parent checks it and confirms the job and date to a volunteer: 1 point.
This does not count
Only saying “I helped today,” clearing only your own plate, or a friend or sibling confirming it does not count. Cooking is part of Home Base, not an extra award.
How often: Once a day during the scoring period. Several chores still earn at most 1 home-task point that day.
Link to this taskNo matching tasks. Try another word or clear the search.
How your points add up
Earn points October 28–November 18, including both dates, in Louisville/Eastern Time. Ordinary tasks count only during this period and after signup. Bring a Brother is the only exception: genuine new referrals from October 26–27 can count on October 28, within that day’s 6-point cap. Later referrals use the new signup date. Do not move points to another day to avoid the cap.
Up to 6 points a day. Use the day the work was done, even if entered later. If you have 5 points and finish a 2-point task, you get only 1 more point. The adult records the cap adjustment and gives a blue 1-point star. Extra points do not carry to another day. Weekly limits run Monday–Sunday.
2 prayers + 1 home job = 3 points.
Three different prayers earn 3 points total, not 6.
Halaqah + one home job = 3 points.
The full session needs a checked takeaway. Your parent confirms the home job.
3 prayers + major service project = 6 points.
You have reached the daily cap. Extra points cannot move to tomorrow.
How do I qualify for the trip?
Reach 30 checked points by November 18. All who qualify can go if funding, venue places and supervising adults allow. If places are limited, higher scores go first. A draw among boys tied for the last funded place decides who goes.
The trip is planned for Saturday, November 21: Mega Quest at Louisville Mega Cavern. Mega Ziplines is a possible upgrade. It needs enough fundraising, venue availability and each boy meeting the activity requirements. Booking and the exact fundraising target are not yet confirmed.
What if I cannot come every day?
Home tasks do not need a ride. Example: four full Wednesday halaqahs with checked takeaways earn 8 points. Sixteen parent-confirmed home jobs on different days add 16. Two new, agreed learning goals completed in different weeks add 6. Total: 30. Each activity needs its required adult check. Sessions are not guaranteed, and points are not automatic. Tell an organizer early if travel or other problems make it hard to take part.
What if the stars or points look wrong?
Tell a Quest organizer the task, completion date and adult who checked it. They check the date, task, adult who checked it and 6-point cap before fixing the total. A board photo alone is not enough.
For parents
For Home Base, directly tell a Quest volunteer the specific completed job and date. No printed form or signature is required. A signed note is also accepted. For Learning Lair, the adult records the agreed starting goal and checks the result. A parent may check learning only if they can judge it correctly. Keep confirmations private.
Adult checks and parent confirmations support the points on the masjid board. This site accepts signups and has a public board. Approved volunteers enter checked tasks in a private log. The board shows earned stars and points. Names follow recorded online permission: full name, first name and last initial, or a participant number. Earlier masjid-chart choices are preserved. Give confirmations directly to an organizer. The entry records who checked the task and what proof they checked.
